PathPilot - Privacy Policy

PathPilot (listed on Google Play as "AI Coach - PathPilot") is a personal accountability coach. You set one growth goal, and the coach helps you turn it into one realistic daily commitment, then keeps you on track with reminders, quick check-ins, and a reliability score and streak. This policy explains, plainly, what data we collect, why we need it, who we share it with, and how you stay in control.

1. Who We Are

PathPilot is built and maintained by an independent developer ("we", "us"). We are not yet incorporated as a legal entity, but the privacy commitments below still apply in full. If you have any questions or requests, email sourcodesolutions@gmail.com.

2. The Data We Collect

Note: Your sign-in credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in our own database. Payments are processed by Google Play; we never receive or store your card or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Data

Turn your goal into a realistic commitment and coach you day to day
Compute your reliability score and streak from your check-ins
Send your main action reminder at the commitment time you chose, and keep system reminders like the evening check-in within your local quiet hours (roughly 8am to 10pm)
Generate your weekly reflection report (Premium)
Verify and manage your Premium subscription
Adapt the coaching to how you are doing (grow or ease the commitment)
Authenticate your access securely
Monitor AI usage and cost
Improve the app

We never sell or rent your data to anyone.

4. AI Processing

To generate coaching, we send the text of your goal, your commitment, and your coaching conversation to our AI providers:

Google (Gemini) powers the free coach and parses your input.
Anthropic (Claude) powers the Premium coach and the weekly report.

We send only the coaching content needed to produce a response. We do not send your name or email address to these providers. Under their API terms, they process this input to generate a response and do not use it to train their models.

5. Where and How Long We Store Data

We keep your data until you delete it or delete your account. When you delete your account, we remove your data from our active systems, and it is cleared from Google infrastructure in the normal course after a short propagation period.

6. Your Controls

View and edit your goal, commitment, and check-ins in the app
Reset your progress to start over, while keeping your account
Delete all your data and your account, from in-app settings or from our hosted deletion page (which works even after you uninstall)
Turn reminders on or off and manage notification preferences
Change your coaching language at any time
Manage or cancel your Premium subscription in Google Play. Canceling stops future billing, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your PathPilot account does not cancel your Google Play subscription, so cancel it in Google Play to stop billing.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS
Data in Firestore is encrypted at rest
Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication
Access to your data is enforced by server-side authorization checks on every request
Payments are handled entirely by Google Play; we never see your card details

8. Third-Party Services

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed on Google Cloud and provider servers outside your country. We rely on standard contractual clauses and the providers safeguards to protect it.

10. Children

PathPilot is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has used the app, we will delete their data promptly. Please contact us if you believe this has happened.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes in the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
